Becki is proud to offer private work experience placement for anyone aged 14 and up, who is interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts. Placement usually takes place over the summer holidays, however Becki is happy to offer placement at any time throughout the year, to fit with both the student, and her schedules.
Placements vary in length, based on the subject matter the student is interested in, and the availability of both Becki and the student. Often placements will lead into ongoing mentorship with Becki as well.
Becki only offers work experience to students who are keenly interested in pursing a career similar or related to the work she does as a self employed singing teacher, performer and owner of a performing arts company. When on placement with Becki, you are encouraged to be inquisitive! Asking questions, getting involved and putting ideas forward is required.
Becki provides a small amount of paperwork for students during their time with her, for them to keep track of things that interest them. She is also happy to be a reference for students who have done work experience with her.
Interested students should email firstname.lastname@example.org with a covering letter as to their interest in work experience with her.
Examples of activities that the student will experience when on work experience with Becki:
- Teaching: private lessons, group work, workshops and more
- Meetings: with current and potential business partners and clients
- Gigs / Performances: at care homes and events
- Paperwork and admin associated with being self employed including social media and other online work (supervised at all times.)
