Charity Album

Every year, Becki releases a charity album with her students to raise money for a good cause. This is an opportunity for students to learn about recording with guidance from Becki, and gives them a finished product at the end, that they can add to their portfolio and experiences.

The songs for each album are chosen by the students, around the subject matter of the charity/good cause chosen for that year.

2018

The first year of the project, 2018 is raising money for Helping Hands Portsmouth – a group of amazing individuals who help the homeless in and around Portsmouth, through breakfast and dinner runs, as well as providing support to individuals in the form of helping with applying for jobs and housing, and providing support and encouragement after they have found a place/job as well.

All the songs have been especially chosen by the students around the theme of “helping others”, to represent to incredible work Helping Hands do.

Watch this space for more details to be announced soon, including the songs and singers, and an album launch gig!

We hope to be releasing the album in Autumn 2018.

The 2018 album will be called (out in the) Elements, and will feature songs about helping people. The singers on the album start at age 8, and go up to adults, with a whole range of musical genres covered as well.

The album will be £10, and can be pre-ordered by emailing becki@beckishort.co.uk.
