I was recently thinking about how much small businesses mean to me. After all – I am one! And I show my support for that by sharing various things from friends who own small businesses from time to time. But, I thought it was about time I formalised this a bit more. I know there’s more I could be doing to help more small businesses out there. And if there’s more I can be doing – there’s more others could be doing!

Hence this idea was born – the #BizLiftWave. The idea is to offer 10 minutes of your time a week – or however much you can offer – to another small business you know. Ask them to do the same with other businesses they know. This way we can start “a wave” of small businesses helping to “lift” each other.

Here’s some ideas of things you could offer to do to help another small business:

  • share some posts of your on social media
  • be a “sounding board” for something
  • help you with a goal by being your “voice of reason” and encouraging you (prodding you) to do it
  • just give you a reason to take a break for a bit by meeting up for a tea

If you come up with any ideas of other things small businesses can do to help each other then pop me a message, and I’ll add it to the list!
